Prof. Dr. Gerhard Weikum receives Konrad-Zuse-Medal from the Gesellschaft für Informatik

Prof. Gerhard Weikum, Director at the Max Planck Institute for Computer Science, receives the Konrad Zuse Medal from the Gesellschaft für Informatik. He is being honored for his scientific contributions to database systems, performance optimization, information extraction from texts, and the automatic construction of large knowledge bases. The Konrad Zuse Medal is the highest award for computer science in Germany and is awarded every two years.

Prof. Dr. Karsten Reuter is now part of the BiGmax Steering Committee

We are really happy to announce that Prof. Dr. Karsten Reuter is now part of the BiGmax project. He is a new Director at the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society in Berlin and will be FHI full-time starting August 1, 2020.

The DFG revealed the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize winners for 2020. We are happy to announce that two of our scientists are among the top 10 winners of one of the most prestigious research award in Germany.
